Fletch Films is proud to announce that the short films ‘Mandella’ and ‘Awkward Goodnight’ have been officially selected for the 15th Annual 2012 Over the Fence Comedy Film Festival in Australia from September 1st and onward. This marks the first overseas premiere for both films. The Over the Fence Comedy Film Festival tours around the country of Australia, as they screen all the films in over 15 different cities.

Altarcations picked up for distribution on Bite TV

Fletch Films would like to announce that Bite TV working with the Worldwide Short Film Festival has picked the short film Altarcations for distribution on their digital channel for the next 3 years.

Altarcations, a short film starring Andrea Fletcher, Dan Abramovici and Geoff Hendry has just finished up its run on the festival circuit over the past year.  In screened at 18 film festivals worldwide and earned 10 awards along the journey, including best screenplay, various best comedies, audience choice awards as well as best actress award for Andrea Fletcher.

Altarcations should be premiering on BiteTV in the new year.  BiteTV on Rogers is channel 106 and on Bell, channel 530.

Altarcations Officially Selected for Worldwide Short Film Festival

Fletch Films is proud to announce that the short film ‘Altarcations’ has been officially selected for the 10th Annual Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto, Canada from May 31st – June 5th, 2011. This marks the second festival screening for the film in Toronto.

The Worldwide Short Film Festival is one of the top festivals in the world and is the largest short film festival in North America. The screening dates of Altarcations will be Friday June 3rd @ 3:15pm and Sunday June 5 @ 2:15pm in the “Silver Linings” program grouping. The film will be screened at the Varsity #1 Cinema located in the Manulife Building at Bay/Bloor in Toronto.

Altarcations Wins ‘Best of the Festival’ at Rochester International Film Festival

Fletch Films is proud to announce that the short film ‘Altarcations’ was selected by the Audience for ‘Best of the Festival’ at the 53rd Annual Rochester International Film Festival which was held in Rochester, New York from April 14th – 16th, 2011.

Altarcations was one of twelve films selected out of over 30 to earn the best of the festival award.

The short film continues its festival circuit next month, it will premiere at Over the Fence Film Festival in Australia May 21st and at Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto June 3rd.

Altarcations Wins ‘Best of the Festival’ at Faux Film Festival

Fletch Films is proud to announce that the short film ‘Altarcations’ was selected by the Audience for ‘Best of the Festival’ at the 7th Annual Faux Film Festival which was held in Portland, Oregon from April 1st – 3rd, 2011.

Altarcations was one of six films selected out of over 30 to earn the best of the festival award. The other films include: The Boy who screwed Christmas, The Furred Man, God’s Clowns, The Ninjews: “Goy-L” Trouble and Surviving Hunger.

Altarcations & Shaky Grounds Nominated at Film Festival

The short films Altarcations and Shaky Grounds have both been nominated by the festival screening committee for Best Screenplay at Edgemar Short Film Festival. Andrea Fletcher wrote Shaky Grounds and co-wrote Altarcations with Dan Abramovici and Geoff Hendry.

The festival takes place in Santa Monica, California from April 29 – May 1, 2011. The screening of Shaky Grounds takes place Saturday April 30th @ 1pm and Altarcations takes place saturday April 30th @ 6pm. The awards ceremony for the festival takes place sunday night May 1st.
